Acting Through Song Program
Acting Through Song: Embodying Emotion on Stage is a focused 3-week program designed to help performers bring authenticity and emotional depth to their singing. Through a step-by-step process, participants learn to analyze lyrics, connect personally to a song’s story, and use vocal technique to express character and emotion. The course progresses from building emotional awareness, to exploring vocal expression and characterization, and finally to integrating voice, feeling, and physical presence into a polished performance. By the end, performers gain the tools to deliver compelling, truthful interpretations that fully engage both themselves and their audience.
Freya Maria
Freya is a professional singer and experienced music coach with a BA in Musical Theatre. She has spent the last 5 years teaching students of all ages and levels, helping them build strong vocal techniques, musicality, and confidence in their performance. As a working performer, she understands the challenges and rewards of the music and theatre industry, and brings this real-world experience into every lesson. Her passion for teaching comes from seeing my students grow in both ability and confidence. Whether you're a complete beginner or preparing for an important audition, she is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals with patience, encouragement, and expertise. Every lesson is tailored to suit the individual needs of her students. She specialises in a variety of styles, including musical theatre, pop, and classical, and is here to guide you on your musical journey with techniques that empower and inspire.
